Stocktake

In the stocktake module, you enter the warehouse location, the respective count place, the EAN and the quantity of articles. Each mobile computer is automatically assigned a unique device number and your warehouse staff are identified via individual data entry numbers. The counting place is entered either manually using the keyboard or conveniently by scanning the storage location number. The article is then captured by scanning either the EAN or the article number. After the scan, the article description appears automatically on the display. The quantity is entered manually and the entry is then confirmed. Alternatively, the Quantity always 1 option can be used - in this case, each article is scanned individually, with the quantities being added up automatically later. A compact overview list below the entry area shows all articles registered to date.

Article list

In the Article list view within the stocktake module, you will see an overview of all articles that have already been captured, including their EANs and article numbers. If you select an article, the name and the captured quantity also appear, narrowed down to storage location, count place and the originally planned quantity (target quantity).

Count place list

The count place list in the stocktake module shows a list of all captured count places including the respective article quantities per place. If a pre-count has already been carried out in advance, the target quantity can also be viewed there. This is used to compare the expected quantity with the actual quantity recorded at the respective counting location.

Unknown articles

The software displays a warning message when scanning items that are not stored to ensure that no products unknown to the article master enter the COSYS system. However, if there are articles in the warehouse that have not yet been captured in the article master, it is possible to add them to the system at a later date. Alternatively, the capturing of uknown articls can also be completely deactivated.

Quantity 1 Capturing

To make the stocktaking process more efficient, articles can be counted using the Quantity always 1 option. If this function is activated in the entry screen, a quantity of 1 is automatically captured for the respective article with each scan. Similar articles are then combined into a total quantity. This method facilitates precise capturing via barcode scanning and reduces the risk of input or counting errors. This function is frequently used in retail in particular, as different variants of an article can be recorded within one count place

Inventory correction

If incorrect entries are made during stocktaking, these can be corrected directly via the mobile app. The stocktake correction function allows you to correct previously incorrectly captured quantities. To do this, select the relevant count place and the article in question and enter the correct quantity. If required, you can also enter a free text comment to explain the correction in more detail.

Count place termination

Within the stocktaking app, you can specify in the settings whether count places should remain open or be marked as closed. When closing a count place, you have the option of defining whether subsequent processing - such as a recount or new count - is possible. If desired, re-entry can also be protected by a password.
